Junior Helpdesk / Front Line IT Support – Union VFX

We are looking for a customer service driven IT engineer that is looking for a creative, dynamic environment.

Working as part of a small multidisciplinary IT team you will be involved in directly supporting the artist and production teams to resolve any technical issues, process queries and suggest alternative or work around solutions if required.

This is an entry level role with a lot of potential for learning.  

Responsibilitie

  • Basic technical troubleshooting (e.g. password resets; cabling; access; workstation configuration)
  • Rebuilds of workstations
  • Installation of software / hardware
  • Basic technical support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security
  • Log and handle tickets
  • Proactive maintenance (AV, patching etc)
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of information sources to assist in problem solving (i.e. technical sites; vendors; etc)
  • Troubleshooting of applications
  • Computer Science / IT / Engineering qualification or equivalent proven ability

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations

  • A degree in IT, computer science or a related field is preferred but not required
  • Equivalent IT or related experience
  • Experience using JIRA would be an advantage
