The VFX Festival, hosted by Escape Studios, returns from 8-10 March 2022 for its 10th edition, bringing together the creative community and emerging artists to explore the industry, expand their knowledge and delve into the latest opportunities presented by the metaverse.
In 2022, the hybrid festival will be hosted at Escape Studios in central London, with limited ticket availability, while it will also be delivered live online to provide access for a global audience. Tickets are available on the festival website.
The festival features insight into award-winning productions, inspiring expert-led presentations, careers advice, as well as the latest trends, technology, and innovation from around the world. There are three exciting areas of this year’s festival:
The VFX Festival EDU – Tuesday 8th March
For school and college students (under 18-year-olds) who are excited to learn about the world of visual effects, animation, games and motion graphics. This part of the festival will be filled with inspiring sessions and top tips from industry professionals about how students can get their foot into the door of our exciting creative industry.
The VFX Festival Emerging Talent – Wednesday 9th March
For students currently studying within Higher or Further Education and professionals who are looking to kick start a career and learn more about the industry. The festival will be filled with inspiring talks, presentations, panel discussions, careers, and recruitment opportunities.
The VFX Festival: The Future – Thursday 10th March
Escape to the Metaverse: a day of virtual production and virtual worlds. For professionals and students looking for knowledge about the latest changes taking place in the creative industries. In 2022 this part of the festival will focus on the ‘Metaverse’ exploring its future impact, opportunities and challenges.
