PLOT
In Hajime Isayama’s hit manga, the last remnants of humanity are forced live within a country surrounded by three enormous walls to protect themselves from remorseless, flesh-eating giants. The 3D maneuver gear is worn by the military in its battles against the Titans, allowing soldiers to propel themselves into the air with grapple hooks and a gas mechanism, thereby moving them closer to the giants’ only known weak spot: the back of the neck.”

Directed by Shinji Higuchi, under the supervision of manga creator Hajime Isayama, the first film, titled simply “Attack on Titan,” opens Aug. 1 in Japan, and the second, “Attack on Titan: End of the World,” arrives Sept. 19.
